Suitable for those who have their own bodhrán and have some basic playing technique, including those who have been on previous Beginners Part 1 workshops. This workshop will build on the basic technique for playing jigs and reels, introduce slip jigs, polkas, hornpipes, and possibly odd time tunes.
The workshop will also explore the Bodhrán’s pitched capabilities, helping participants tune their instruments to be harmonically sympathetic to the tunes or songs they accompany. You will also explore more advanced stick techniques (rolls/triplets/subdivisions). Participants need to bring their own bodhrán.
